High Blood Pressure
The human autonomic nervous system is divided into two parts:
• The Sympathetic Nervous System (your EMERGENCY nerve symptoms that controls fight or flight)
• The Parasympathetic Nervous System (the RELAXED nerve system that controls digestion and internal organs)
These two systems are designed to be in balance.
When one nerve system is stimulated more than another, this can trigger the fight or flight response in the body. The body is put into fight or flight for two reasons:
• There is a stressful event that puts the human body in peril
• Pressure on the nervous system due to the misalignment of the ATLAS bone or C-1
The characteristics of fight or flight are:
• Increased blood pressure
• Increased adrenaline production
• Increased respiration
• Increased heartbeat
• Increased stress
When the body is put into fight or flight, the sympathetic nervous system is stimulated. Due to this stimulation, the body reacts to the stress being placed on the brain stem by the misaligned ATLAS bone.
When the ATLAS bone gets out of place, it puts pressure on the central nervous system. Because of this, the body can remain “stuck” in fight or flight until the pressure is removed. The sympathetic nervous system remains stimulated and the body is then subjected to all of the symptoms mentioned above.
Mainly, this fight or flight condition results in high blood pressure.
If YOU are looking for a natural way to lower blood pressure without the use of drugs and their side effects, look no further!
Don’t take my word for it!
A University of Chicago Medical Study says that properly aligning the atlas lowers blood pressure better than the two most commonly used blood pressure medications used in tandem.

To adjust the atlas bone precisely, x-rays must be taken, and an exacting analysis must be performed.
The adjustment is most effectively and specifically delivered by way of a percussive soundwave instrument : The Atlas Orthogonal Percussion Adjusting Instrument.
This technique maximizes the benefit and minimizes the risk for the patient.
High blood pressure can be the result of pressure on the nerve system by a misaligned atlas bone, and it can be a chiropractic condition.
Nerves control EVERYTHING!! Whenever pressure is placed upon the nerve system through a misalignment, the result is reduced or altered nerve function. This causes symptoms. What is a symptom? Pain or abnormal function. Symptoms are almost always linked to nerve interference. Removing the interference is the most effective way to eliminate symptoms. Addressing the root cause of symptoms is paramount at Maloof Family Chiropractic. The Atlas Orthogonal Procedure eliminates this problem, effectively restoring function without manipulation.
